Idea of The Day: Check this out!

> The Idea:

I’m excited. And I don’t know where to start. Okay. At the beginning. An email arrives from MD member, Rev. Angelica Taggart. It says, “Just moved to Baltimore, MD and in looking for furniture stores on line, came across this one.”
And what a find.

> The Key Point:

Rev. Angelica is referring to HomeGoods, the great chain of stylish discount stores. What she (and now we) love about their website is the way they involve customers. To see what we mean go to the ‘Customer Finds’ page on their website. The photos you see (I’ve included a few below) are of pieces that customers bought at HG, then photographed in their own homes. Each photo shows the price paid, and why the item is so special to the customer. Note that customers can enter their photos in a contest, and can even apply to become bloggers for the company. This is such a great example of customer involvement that I want to reach out and hug it. Wait. That sounds weird. See you Tuesday.
